Danavation is excited to welcome Victoria Cooling to the team as our new Marketing Communications Manager! In this role, she’ll be responsible for our offline marketing efforts, along with being the “voice” of the company. With a creative mind and a copywriting background, we couldn’t think of a better fit.
Describe yourself in three words.
Driven, outgoing, and creative.
Favourite song, why?
This is a tough one because I’m a huge music lover. But if I had to pick my favourite, it would be If You See Her, Say Hello by Bob Dylan. I’m a sucker for a good sad song, but this one stands out because it’s so beautifully written.
Favourite movie, why?
Breakfast at Tiffany’s. I love Audrey Hepburn and her whole persona, and the movie itself manages to be funny, romantic, and poignant all at the same time.
Favourite book, why?
Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahnuick. I brought this on vacation to Cuba years ago and finished it in less than two days. Without giving it away, it’s the definition of a page turner, and one of the few books that left me speechless (and I’ve read a lot of books).
Favourite brand, why?
NARS Cosmetics. They nailed the aesthetic of chic yet timeless, and I’m obsessed with their sleek and minimalist packaging.
What’s your favourite thing about working at Danavation?
Everything so far! But if I had to narrow it down, it would be the AWESOME company culture and how everyone is encouraged to have a voice.
Quote to live by:
“Life is a journey, not a destination.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Fun fact about you:
I play left-handed guitar.
If you were a superhero, what would be your superpower?
What is your greatest accomplishment?
Completing three degrees with honours (two bachelors, one-post grad) in five years, while working almost full-time and balancing time for friends, family, travel, and hobbies.
Your favourite tradition in your household?
I’m half-Greek, so I was lucky to grow up with many Greek customs and traditions. That being said, my favourite would definitely be roasting a lamb for Greek Easter.
Eating poutine, and reading celebrity gossip.
Three travel destinations that are on your bucket list:
New Zealand, Maldives, and Japan.
What do you think is the greatest invention of all time?
You’re hosting a dinner party. Eight people seated at your table. Living or dead, who would you invite?
Three things you cannot live without?
Music, travel, and my family.

I’m excellent at trivia.
